SPINNET - Cooperation, Innovation and Networking among science and technology parks and universities
Science and Technology Park Ostrava is preparing a launch of a new project in the area of development cooperation between the academic and research community and the private sector (2.4 OPEC). Specifically, the partnership project SPINNET whose implementation will be managed by Science and Technology Parks Association CR. The project involved partners outside VTPO of all the NUTS 2 regions, where is each partner university and scientific and technology park. This creates a unique national network with many synergistic effects with nationwide impact.
The project aims to identify the various regions of the students who will eventually endorsed internships in science and technology parks (STPs), business incubators and innovative companies. Students will become part of developing cooperation between academic and application spheres and also acquire the necessary skills, know-how and motivation to further develop this cooperation. Enterprising students gain an additional opportunity to collaborate on innovative solutions to projects in team work under the supervision of experienced consultants.
Furthermore, the project will take place transfer of practical experience through internships operation between scientific and technological parks in the Czech Republic and the transfer abroad of good and bad practice. The project will also attempt to raise awareness about the activities of science and technology parks in the Czech Republic and building interactive catalog VTP.

Factual description of the project:
The project aims to create an environment for intense collaboration of academic and R & D sector and the private sector. This will be achieved by implementing the project with the help of well-chosen partners in regions NUTS 2, where each partner is university and the Science and Technology Park (STP). This will provide the link to the regions, created a national network of stakeholders with many synergistic effects with nationwide impact.
Generalization and smooth implementation activities at the national level will ensure STPA CR. In individual regions within the target group we identify suitable students. They will support internships in VTP and innovative companies. Enterprising students will deal with innovative projects in the form of team work under the supervision of experienced consultants. Activities aim to broaden awareness of the target groups about the reasons and methods and standard conditions of cooperation between academic and application spheres and at the same time, provide the necessary skills, know-how and motivation to collaborate with industry.
The main objectives of the project are:
- -successful implementation of student collaboration with innovative companies through internships - shadowing managers
-successful implementation of the cooperation of students and popularized science and research through internships in the park
- -support innovative creative activities (student teams, the competition for the best business plan)
-strengthen cooperation between universities and the application sphere - portal Spolupráce.org
-implementation of specialized workshops and conferences, meeting the target groups and the private sector
Partial objectives of the project are:
- -bringing together representatives VTP - transfer of practical experience through internships operation between parks in the Czech Republic and foreign
- -transmission of good and bad practice through internships in foreign parks
-transfer good and bad practice from abroad to the Czech Republic thanks to visits by foreign experts
-successful forms of cooperation (success stories) with the participation of clients, discussion of problems encountered with STP and universities in cooperation with industry meet
-increase awareness of the work of science and technology parks in the Czech Republic
